Senior MuleSoft Developer

As a hands-on Senior MuleSoft Developer, you will support an integrated team to design, develop and deploy a software platform in accordance with the technical and functional requirements of a State government customer using an Agile approach. This position will be responsible for elaborating and refining requirements, designing and documenting the logical and physical components of the application, configuring the software and supporting an independent test team validate the overall solution. As the Senior Developer you will be responsible for coordinating with various vendors, both external and internal to the State agency. You will also be responsible for creating and reviewing design artifacts and for tracking and managing the relevant tasks in the project integrated master schedule.
The scope of the program includes systems modernization, managed services, process development for cloud services provisioning, data integration across modules, and enhancing cloud capabilities to solve mission problems.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Serve as a senior developer on the program
- Work with the Program team to elicit and refine the functional and technical requirements
- Prepare detailed design documentation, including the development of logical and physical design artifacts
- Support the team install COTS software products in the lower environments
- Provide guidance and monitor progress of the Agile development teams in the development and unit testing of their respective modules
- Develop and manage sprint progress using Kanban boards
- Develop and execute test cases to confirm that individual components of the software align with their specifications
- Conduct technical peer reviews of software components
- Support the infrastructure team to define cloud resource requirements for the solution
- Support the test team to develop and manage the execution of performance/stress tests in a Cloud based environment in to identify potential performance anomalies/issues in the software; analyze results for recommended corrective actions
- Work with the team to help adopt best practices for software development and execution
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelors degree in computer science or other related field
Required Experience:
- 10+ years of related experience including 8+ years of software development experience
Required Technical Skills:
- Full SDLC experience working in waterfall and agile environments
- Hands on experience working with the MuleSoft Anypoint platform
- Proven track record with integrating MuleSoft with other systems using multiple protocols and different integration patterns
- Proficiency in Java; other programming languages a plus
- Experience working with Mule4 OpenTelemetry
- API development including hands on experience in developing API specifications
- Working knowledge of standard protocols such as OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0
- Hands on experience working in Cloud environments, Azure a plus

- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience working with stakeholders and development teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands on experience managing integrated teams
- Proven ability to work independently while serving as an integral member of the team.

- 4+ years working as a senior MuleSoft developer within an Agile cloud environment

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely salary range for this position is $116,979 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
