We have a great opportunity for a Sales Programme Manager to join a Business Intelligence, Publishing and Events group.

Length: 6 months

Location: 2 days a week in London

IR35 status: Outside

Job Description

Our client is embarking on an ambitious transformation of its customer buying journey. Over the course of a multi-year transformation, they are setting up a templated L2C (Lead to Cash) journey aligned to product types and customer personas and supporting the business in the change and adoption of the new infrastructure.

Within the transformation portfolio, they have a Sales Programme Manager role which will manage the delivery of the assisted sales journeys for all products and personas that aim to be completed by 2025. The role will be responsible for working with the shaping/design, delivery and change/adoption CoEs to design, manage and track the assisted sales programme.

Transformation is a multi-disciplinary function that facilitates the planning and execution of strategic change initiatives, including Merger & Acquisition (M&A) that comprise of five portfolios and several integration programmes. This role reports into the Commercial Portfolio Director.

Key areas of responsibility and accountability are:

  • Programme Management
  • Stakeholder management and Change management
  • Governance, Team leadership & Cross-functional collaboration
  • Risk Management
  • Plan, delivery & MI reporting

Skills and experience:

  • Strong Agile setup and management experience is essential.
  • Previous experience as a Technical Delivery Manager would be ideal to help facilitate delivery thought this role is not accountable for Technical Delivery.
  • Strong leadership, senior stakeholder management and the ability to collaborate cross-functional teams is necessary.
  • A strong communicator who is confident liaising at all levels internally and externally.
  • The ability to lead, motivate and inspire the programme teams to achieve their objectives.
  • Good understanding of change, project and programme management methodologies.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to address issues and obstacles that may arise throughout the program life cycle.
  • The ability to optimise risk to stay within the risk threshold with the likelihood of delivering the expected benefits.
  • Proficiency in PPM software and tools.

Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • Experienced in Programme Manager roles especially in either corporate or retail environments.
  • Experience in managing large-scale or multi-year transformation type of programme.
  • Experience managing programmes with international or cross-cultural environment will be beneficial.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Strategic Project Management, Engineering or IT is preferable.
  • Professional qualifications such as Programme Management Professional (PgMP) certificate or MSP®Professional is of an advantage.
